Has anyone seen that movie? I usually never cry over movies, but I cried at the end of this one. it was so sweet and sad!

I own it, and bawled my eyes out at the end. Apparently, when my friend Alyssa went to see it in theaters, there was an entire row of girls in front of her who all started crying at the same time. She said there was also an elderly man in the front row by himself who was crying too. poor guy.

It was okay. I like the book better than the movie. It's a typical love story. There's other romantic movies that are better than this one.

I saw this movie at the recommendation of a friend, a woman of course, who told me it was one of her favorite films. I've got to say; if it hadn't been for my extreme manly manliness, I would have shed a tear also.

I'm off to do push ups and chew tobacco.

lol alex
i love that movie soooo much,.. omg. plus Ryan Gosling is soooo fucken hot OMG. Haven't read the book but Nicholas sparks is awesome. A walk to remember was a good movie too by him. I want to read the book for that still. The rescue is a good one to.

I believe I saw a walk to remember at the request of a girlfriend also. She cried, I didn't, but she wanted me to.

If any of you ladies want to make your boyfriend watch the Notebook, but he just wont budge, trick him by showing him the movie 50 first dates. It's pretty much the same film. But hush, you didn't hear this from me.

what? that's nothing like the notebook lol

sure it is, It's the notebook without the rich girl-poor boy theme. Same movie, come on, think about it.

"if it hadn't been for my extreme manly manliness, I would have shed a tear also." What kind of a statement is that? do you not have the capacity to show emotion or something? everyone cries, no matter if you are a man or woman. It's perfectly natural to cry.

That was a bit of a joke, but really, men don't cry. We simply don't have the tear ducts to do so. It's simple biology. Crying is for the women folk, the same as basket weaving, baby raising, you know...

Not necessarily so. There are in fact, fathers on this site who can tell you otherwise. they are involved in their child or childrens' lives. as far as basket-weaving goes ... Does anyone really do that anymore? Hmmm, anyway, back on subject ...

The Notebook was an awesome movie, and in a twisted way, I can kind of see the resemblance to 50 First Dates, because the girl in 50 First Dates had amnesia, and after the woman got old in The Notebook, she lost her memory...so, that being said, I like both those movies, it's just that 50 First Dates is a lighter take on a love story, but I would still rather watch The Notebook any day, probably beause I relate to it because I feel lie my boyfriend and I had to go through an unnecessary struggle to be together too.
